Throughout her teaching years, Mdm Zaleha is very much loved by the children in her class due to her warm and approachable nature.

She joined MERCU™ Learning Point as a kindergarten teacher in 2002. Through the years she has acquired the Certificate in Pre School Teaching with NIE and Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Teaching) with Learning Capital.

In 2009, Mdm Zaleha was promoted to Executive, Product Development for Early Childhood and Enrichment. In her new role, she will use her expertise to review and enhance the curriculum at the Kindergarten and Childcare Centres. Mdm Zaleha and her team conduct the Operations and Curriculum audits at the early childhood centres to ensure that the standards for safety, hygiene and curriculum implementation are met.

Despite surrounded by active and vocal children all day long, Mdm Zulianah remains gentle, cheerful and fun-loving. A mature individual whose soft-spoken ways and refined manners reflect good upbringing. Being a principal, she relates well to her peers, is helpful and is an excellent team player. She believes in creating a fun and exciting environment for the children to learn and enjoy time at school.

She has 6 years teaching experience and is well equipped with a Diploma in Pre-School Teaching and OJT programme - Skill & Strategies of Guided Reading. She completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership) in 2007 and was promoted to principal in 2008.

"Patient and soft-spoken" are words used to describe the easy going Mdm Jumira. She adores young children and simply enjoys teaching them.  Over the years, Mdm Jumira has received many positive feedbacks from parents.

Being a calm and patient teacher, she demonstrates good classroom management skills and is looked up by the rest of teachers who approach her for ideas and suggestions.

Ms Nihla has a Diploma in Early Childhood (Teaching & Leadership) with Regional Training and Resource Centre in Early Childhood Care and Education for Asia (RTRC).

Ms Nihla started her career in early childhood since 1985 as a kindergarten and childcare teacher at PAP Kindergarten and NTUC Childcare Centres. She then moved up the ranks of Senior Teacher and Centre Supervisor in Wonderkids Childcare Development Centre where she worked for 14 years.

With more than 15 years of experience in early childhood and a strong belief in nurturing young children, Ms Nihla aims to provide a safe and engaging environment at our new 3-in-1 centre at Buangkok. She oversees the operations and curriculum implementation at the Centre and supervises and mentors the teachers.

Her passion and love to work with infants had encouraged her to have a career switch from a staff nurse to an infant caregiver.  With her 15 yrs experience as a staff nurse, Mdm Halipah demonstrates warmth and affection towards the infants.

Ms Subaidah started her career as an enrichment teacher. She moved on to be a toddler teacher with Learning Vision @ Work  for 2 years. Her passion to work with the toddlers had encouraged her to take the Certificate In Infant Toddlers. Upon completing her course, she decided to expand her experience and joined our team and work with the infants.

"Children should be treated with respect & dignity, to discipline with love and to give them room & support to grow."

The above statement is an advice that Mdm Samia always reminds her teachers. She believes in understanding children, their family background and their needs. Being a veteran in the field of Early Childhood, she is constantly approached by staff, colleagues and parents on advice in handling their children.

Mdm Samia has been in the Early Childhood field for 17 years. Through the years she has acquired the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Certificates and Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership). She joined MERCU™ as the Principal of MERCU™ Childcare & Development Centre in 2002.

Vice Principal Sulhana is a patient and creative teacher. As a senior teacher, she has developed much patience in handling the children, their parents and her peers. Having been an early childhood educator for 9 years, she enjoys providing various learning opportunities for the children's development.

She started out as a pre school teacher in 1996 and received her Certification in Early Childhood from NIE 1997. She joined MERCU™ in the year 2000. Subsequently she pursued her Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Teaching) from RTRC in year 2003. She has been the Centre's Senior Teacher since 2001.

Mdm Yasmin began her career as a Student Care Teacher in MERCU™ for 3 years. Upon acquiring her Diploma in Preschool Teaching and Leadership, she moved to the early childhood environment. She completed her Bachelor in Early Childhood Studies with SIM in 2008.

In the course of her work, she has accumulated rich experience in teaching young children. Her enthusiasm and love is prominent and she also enjoys collaborating with the Yishun Childcare team of teachers to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Teacher Grace is a bubbly and jovial person. With her loving and patient personality, she is very much adored by the children whom call her 'ibu’ which means Mum in Malay. A helpful and diligent teacher, she is well-liked by her peers.

Starting her career in PCF kindergarten since 2001, she moved on to Kidz Meadow Childcare Centre as a 2nd Language Teacher. Her Mandarin lessons, which involved lots of Art and Craft activities and sing a long sessions were engaging and enjoyable.
