Integrated Project Work
The principles of project work were translated into classroom practice at all Kidz Meadow
Centres beginning June 2007. A project commenced with identification of a topic, which can even be decided by the children. Questions are generated that are centered around this topic and used to drive the project implementation. The project activities will include investigations through observations and experiments, group work and discussions among the children, research through books or Internet, field trips, cookery lessons and art and craft activities.
From 2009 onwards, project work will be done every month in line with the theme for the month. More massive Project Works will be done during the holiday months, June and December.

Rigby Rocket Reading Programme
Effective 2010, all Kidz Meadow centres will be implementing the Rigby Rocket Reading Series from Edventure Books Pte Ltd, UK.
The Rigby Rocket Programme that Rigby has published for Singapore Schools is designed specifically to support teachers in conducting their guided reading sessions. Each carefully leveled little book has teaching notes on the inside front and back cover. The notes in the back support guided reading sessions and the notes in the front list the high frequency words, the sound patterns that occur in each book, and the language structures that are introduced in each book.
Objective of the programme is to develop confident and effective independent readers and improve the literacy level of the children by developing a love and interest for reading from young and providing a rich variety of reading experiences.
This is made possible as the Rigby Rocket books are leveled to build reading confidence and reinforce reading skills. Every book contains a written note that focus on key vocabulary, letter sounds and reading skills found within each story.
Teachers will carry out follow up activities to each title provided in the Teacher's Resource Guide. The comprehensive Teacher’s Guide contains invaluable information on:
